Carmen (@zigs_mom) is a dynamic Sydney-based freelance writer, content creator, and PR guru. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 25, she creates inclusive online spaces for those with chronic illnesses. With a background in media and a love for fashion and beauty, Carmen transitioned from posting Tumblr thrift-shop hauls to landing her dream role as PR Fairy for DYSPNEA in 2019. During the lockdowns, she expanded her content creation on TikTok and Instagram, while founding the book club ‘Feral 4 Fiction’. Carmen has collaborated with an array of brands, some of her favourites being; Jean Paul Gaultier, Dyson ANZ, and Sephora AU. Her relatability and candidness about living with a chronic illness set her apart in this industry.
